Abstract

Production, marketing, and finances become risks that broiler partnership companies encounter most frequently. This study aimed to understand the risk of managing production, marketing, and finances aspects of broiler farming in non-integrator partnership enterprises in Wonogiri Regency. Six cooperation firms hosted the research from September to December 2022. In-depth interviews with regional heads, deputy heads of production regions, regional marketing coordinators, and unit heads were used to collect the data. FMEA was used to analyze the data. Sources of production risk in non-integrated broiler partnership companies: DOC, feed, cage layout, water source, climate and weather, type of cage, human resources, and maintenance management. Sources of marketing risk: product quality, contract prices, fluctuations in LB prices, and types of buyers. Sources of financial risk: lack of capital, high inputs, high production losses, and income depending on chickens. Based on the value of the RPN, the primary risk sources inhibiting factors for the success of non-integrated partnership companies in Wonogiri Regency are fluctuations in the price of LB, high inputs, human resources, maintenance management, and high production losses, respectively. Strategies that can be taken to mitigate these risk sources include business unit diversification, vertical integration, production contracts, marketing contracts, hedging, and insurance.
