Abstract

Introduction: Air pollution due to the smell of faeces that invites flies to come causing economic losses, health problems and reduced productivity cattle. The purpose of this research is to know the manufacture of herbal medicine and to analyze the effect making herbal medicine for laying hens as an alternative to controlling the number of flies (Musca domestica) in Langon Village, Ponggok District. Methods in this study using the Applied Assessment Method applying the treatment to laying hens with 2 research treatments with calculations using Normality analysis and followed by the Paired sample T-test (paired T test). Result of the number of flies with adding herbs to drinking water and without adding drinking water to laying hens shows real results <0.05 (if the results are <0.05 then it can be said significant). The conclusion is the manufacture of herbal medicine as an alternative to overcome the amount flies (Musca domestica) in Langon Village can have a significant effect on fly populations and chicken egg production and can be an effort to increase egg productivity that breeders can continue to develop and become an alternative in maintaining health. laying hens.
