Factors Motivate Communities in Breaking Ducks in Kalemandalle Village, Bajeng Barat District, Gowa Regency.

 Duck farming is one of the main business activities, which has great potential if the products from the duck business are well developed to meet the household economy of the breeder, even though the duck rearing system is still relatively simple, the egg and meat production results for the household business scale. able to meet the needs of family life. The motivation of the breeders is one of the determining factors for success in a livestock business that is able to encourage breeders to achieve livestock raising. This study aims to find out what factors motivate people to raise ducks in Pattarungan Village, Kalemandalle Village, West Bajeng District, Gowa Regency. This research was conducted in June - July 2022. This type of research is descriptive quantitative which is able to describe or describe data regarding the factors that influence people's motivation to raise ducks in Pattarungan Village, Kalemandalle Village, West Bajeng District, Gowa Regency. The population used was 63 people and the total sample was 63 farmers (saturated sampling). Saturated sampling is a sampling technique when all members of the population are used as samples. Methods of data collection is done by means of observation, interviews, literature and documentation. The results of the study found that there were 5 categories of factors that motivated farmers in raising ducks in Pattarungan Village, Kalemandalle Village, West Bajeng District, Gowa Regency. Namely side income as the first rank, the availability of feed as the second rank, easy maintenance as the third rank, the availability of land as the fourth rank, as the fifth rank as egg producer. Where the highest score is the most influential factor in people's motivation in raising ducks and the lowest score is the least influential factor in people's motivation in raising ducks.
