Challenges And Opportunities Access To Credit For Agribusiness Entrepreneurs (A Literature Review)

ABSTRACT
Capital is an important aspect but one of the problems for agribusiness entrepreneurs
due to the difficulty of accessing credit. Lack of capital can hamper agribusiness
activities, thereby affecting business productivity impact on business productivity. Legal
access to capital is both a challenges and opportunities for agribusiness entrepreneurs.
This research aims to summarise and analyse the results of previous studies so as to
produce alternative credit access solutions that can be applied by agribusiness
entrepreneurs. This research was conducted using the literature study method using
journals that discuss access to credit for agribusiness through Google Scholar,
ProQuest, Sciencedirect and Semanticscholar. The results showed that many of the
obstacles experienced were high interest rates, limited credit information and high
interest rates, limited credit information, complicated application process and fear of
taking risks. Through the literature study process, the following recommendations,
namely agribusiness entrepreneurs joining groups, having offtakers, get training and
get assistance from agricultural extension officers to increase their business capacity so
that they are eligible to access credit. This research is expected to change the mindset
that agribusiness is a profitable business sector so that agribusiness entrepreneurs are
able to access credit and develop their businesses
