Abstract

ABSTRACT

This research aimed to identify the effect of self-confidence and learning motivation, simultaneous and partially, towards learning interest and learning outcomes, identify the effect of self-confidence and learning motivation through learning interest towards learning outcomes, and the effect of self-confidence and learning interest through learning interest towards training implementations. This research was quantitative research, with the population and sample were 70 participants of the Basic Training for Agricultural Extension 2019-2020. Multivariate Regression Analysis did the analysis (Durbin-Watson), T-test, F-Test, Multivariate Regression Analysis Backward combined with Pearson correlation, and Path Analysis, using SPSS 20.00. The result showed that self-confidence and learning motivation towards learning interest was partially and simultaneity significant positive. Self-confidence has a more dominant effect on learning interest than learning motivation, as 33.69%. Self-confidence, learning motivation, and learning interest was affecting significantly favourable learning outcomes. The effect of learning interest was more dominant on learning outcomes than self-confidence and learning motivation, as 26.54%. Learning motivation through learning interest significantly improves learning outcomes than self-confidence, with the value identified as 0.27. Self-confidence and learning motivation through learning interest affect training implementation partially, as much as 28% and 11%. Self-confidence and learning motivation affect learning interest, learning outcomes, and training implementations. Participants with high self-confidence and motivation to learn can quickly implement their knowledge and activities in the field.
